Elizabeth Feinler

Main Impact:
Her major impact was her help in the ARPAET and later the internet. This is because she was director of a team in Network Information Systems Center (SRI International). Her group was in charge of naming parts of the internet, like com, org, gov, & edu. Her minor impact was when she went to NASA to assist with the NASA science internet. She then donated some of her early papers on the internet to the Computer History Museum. The Jonathan B. Postel Service Award was awarded to her for her major contribution to the internet.

Born March 2, 1931
She is 94 years old. She was the first in her family to attend college and got her undergraduate degree.
