Main Impact:
Margaret created the name “softare engineer”. She also helped make the computer software for the Apollo crafts. Her software design helped make the building blocks for the next aerospace crafts to come. She created two software companies. She worked on the Semi-Automatic Ground Environment (SAGE) Project at the MIT Lincoln Lab and developed some major programing.

She is still alive and is currently 88 years old.
She went to college and got a major in math and a minor in philosophy. More recently she was awarded the Presidental Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama.
